Dr. Catalin has more than 10 years of experience in public health research; risk analysis and comprehensive hazard evaluation; as well as development and implementation of training programs and exercises at both academic and government levels. Also in behalf of the US DOL – OSHA, provides ongoing collaboration, technical development and assistance with the implementation in OSHA offices nationwide of the new OIS (OSHA Information System) computerized database. He’s developed the strategy and executed the applications that enabled OSHA to leverage automation technologies for official document generation and tracking and reporting of essential Agency enforcement activities.
Bhavya Geethika is currently a Graduate Student at the University of Illinois at Chicago, pursuing Masters in Management information Systems. She works as a Market Research assistant at School of Public health in Emergency Management and Continuity Planning domain. Prior to that she has 2 years of professional experience working as a Software Engineer for Ford Motor Company and Cognizant Technology.
Apostolis Sambanis is currently a Research Specialist in the Division of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences at UIC’s School of Public Health Division and Regulatory Administrator for True Value Company. For more than six years, he has focused on practicing regulatory compliance in Chicago, Illinois. His work has included environmental assessments, emergency response, characterization, and remediation for a variety of private sector clients. Currently, he has focused on a specialization in risk mitigation and currently in charge of product compliance for one of the world’s largest retailer-owned hardware cooperatives, True Value Company. His past research includes evaluation of a geospatial health risk computer program funded by the USEPA known as Spatial Analysis and Decision Assistance (SADA), implementing the CDC BRACE climate change adaptation framework for the state of Illinois, and developing a Private Sector Integration Plan for the creation of logistical inventory software to be used during a disaster response event.
Ankush Gupta is currently a Graduate Student at the University of Illinois at Chicago, pursuing Masters in Management information Systems.Prior to that he has 4 years of Industrial experience working as a Software Engineer for Mahindra Satyam. Currently working as a research assistant at School of Public health in Emergency Management and Continuity Planning domain.
